Introduction to HVAC

HVAC is the technology of indoor and vehicular environmental comfort. Its goal is to provide thermal comfort and acceptable indoor air quality. HVAC stands for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, the three main functions of comfort conditioning system. A complete system can control temperature, humidity, Ventilation and maintain the quality of air that’s provide a required level of comfort in conditioned space. This is a blogger just for knowledge sharing purpose. To provides the knowledge about HVAC and related things. this blogger help you to enhance your HVAC skill. you can put your queries, doubt and question. if you want to help please put your suggestion also.
“Refrigeration is a method of removing heat”
Basically artificial refrigeration Starts from 19th century. Before it peoples were using Natural resource for cooling. For example- ice sources, natural process for cooling etc. Basically the peoples collect the ice in cold days for using in summer days.
  •      Refrigeration is used for only cooling. How much cooling is required is not specified. We need extra equipment's to controlling.
  •      Air-conditioning provides both effects as per requirement heating or cooling. But not desired level of comfort conditioning.
  •      Heat, Ventilation and Air-conditioning can produces both heating and cooling effect simultaneously. It can maintain the desired level of comfort conditioning, with proper ventilation and sensible cooling. But in another hand it is expensive in comparison to other system like AC etc.
  •      All these system are working on the non-spontaneous process. They are designed as they reject heat at high temperature while absorbs from lower temperature.
  •       All these systems are operating on a basic cycles likes VAC(Vapor absorption cycle), VCC (Vapor compression cycles) or any other cycles as they are designed for.
  •      Mostly used cycle is VCC (Vapor Compression cycle) because of few basic features. Like phase changes more energy efficient etc.
HVAC is combination of three terms
HVAC stands for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, the three main functions of comfort conditioning system. A complete system can control temperature, humidity, Ventilation and maintain the quality of air that’s provide a required level of comfort in conditioned space.
H- Heat- It is a form of energy that's flow cause of temperature difference.
V- Ventilation- Admission of Fresh Air in to conditioned space.Admission of Fresh Air in to conditioned space. Ventilation is one of the most important engineering controls available to the industrial hygienist for improving or maintaining the quality of the air in the occupational work environment. Broadly defined, ventilation is a method of controlling the environment with air flow. Ventilation (physiology) is the movement of air between the environment and lungs via inhalation and exhalation.
AC- Air-conditioningIt is nothing but a process by which the temperature and humidity can be control up-to comfort or required level. Comfort level referred for living purpose and required level referred for industrial  or especial application purpose. main purpose of HVAC system are as follows.
  •      To improve or control an manufacturing industrial process.
  •      To maintain required level of comfort in summer and winter days.
  •      Medical Applications.
  •      To store commodities.
  •      Food preservation.
  •      Other special application etc.
Energy Affecting Factors
Sun (Sun light is the major source of Heat for an Home conditioning system).
Air (Temperature increased due to the air flow from outside to inside can't be neglect).
Man (A man is heat machine).
Machines (machine motion cause generation of heat.)
Electrical equipment (same fashion as machine.)
Level of Vibrations (Vibration is also cause of heat generation.)
Level of noise (Noise cause Vibration and vibration cause Heat.)
Others appliances cause of friction between two layers etc.
Note- These are the factors which should be considered in the calculation of heat.
